The WinDTwin project was presented at the AI, Data, Robotics Forum 2026 (ADRF26), held on 13–14 October at the Alfândega Congress Centre in Porto, Portugal.
Organised by INESC TEC and ADRA in collaboration with the European Commission, the event brought together around 500 experts from industry, research and policy to discuss advances in artificial intelligence, robotics and digital technologies.
During the event, EDP presented WinDTwin, highlighting how digital twins of offshore wind farms can improve forecasts of wake losses, power production, energy demand and electricity prices. These developments aim to support more efficient wind farm operations and optimise energy market bidding strategies.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase WinDTwin’s research and its contribution to advancing digital technologies in the offshore wind energy sector.
